I just realized that I haven’t posted in 2 weeks…
So, A is doing fine. We took her to her first doctor’s appointment this past Wednesday for a check up and she is healthy! We got an epi pen for her just in case and talked about allergy testing. The testing is still up in the air… We also discussed weaning. DH and I made the decision to go ahead and day wean A but then I retracted the decision just the other night. We aren’t ready. I’m not ready. She’s not ready. It’s JUST a face rash. She is pooping 8/10 days so why cut such a finite time in our lives short because of a face rash that isn’t bothering her? So yeah, there’s that.
We went to our first community food free event this morning! It was a bike decorating then ride at the park with friends! It was so much fun! Everyone was so kind and understanding about food allergies. It was nice to be able to play and interact with friends without having to eagle eye A and see what she may be trying to stick in her mouth. (the red ants at the park…another story!)
As you can see, I went back to Facebook. I will be diligent to not be on my phone all the time like I was and to not be dragged into any drama. Without Facebook I was able to be the mindful parent that I wanted to be. I know I can do it. And hey, if not…then bye bye Facebook. Easy as that.
I have began a Pinterest addiction in the absence of Facebook. I feel that’s ok though since it benefits our family in a healthy way. This week I tackled Apple pancakes, Sausage and Broccoli Bites, Turkey & Quinoa Meatballs, Real Chicken Nuggets, and Sweet Potato with Zucchini Lasagna! All Pinterest awesome and no fails!!! That’s a first!
Now, off to enjoy Hubby’s Allergy Free meatloaf that’s coming out of the oven now! Mmmmm!
